PLEASE NOTE    I am  relocating to Scotland and will not be available for ceremonies and services in SPAIN after the 23rd November 2010.  Services are available in Scotland from January 2011 primarily around Glasgow and Edinburgh.
 
This page is for fees for ceremonies from 1 january 2010 ro 23rd November 2010 in SPAIN and from 1st January 2011 in SCOTLAND.
 
Preferred method of Payment is via PayPal. To make a payment please go to the PayPal link on the home page. We accept only Euros or British Pounds. We cannot accept Gibraltar pounds.

Prices apply to the area about 40 miles around Edinburgh, Scotland.
 
 
 
 
I will travel further afield but additional charges are calculated as follows:-
 
Travel and time
 
Once I move beyond the area above, It means I spend more on time and travel costs and must charge for this. This then is reflected additional fees which would be agreed beforehand. As an example, to cover additional fuel costs and travel time, the following addional costs would be incurred:-

All communication in the design and planning of your ceremony
Time to plan, prepare and deliver the ceremony
Travel and time costs if within my home area.
There are no hidden costs. The price quoted is the price you pay.

•   House/Business blessings according to complexity
•   Other rituals and celebrations according to need
•   Bereavement/crisis spiritual counselling first session free, thereafter 50€ per one hour session.
 

All Spanish taxes (income and value added) are included in the above prices. You will be asked to make a deposit of 100 euros to secure a booking. Any balance is due in cash on the day of your event. Prices are inclusive of travel within my home areas, shaded purple in the map below. Events outside these areas will incur additional travel and possibly accommodation costs, agreed beforehand.

Fees reflect the following -

  • all ceremonies are created specifically for those concerned. I don´t, as many ministers do, offer "off-the-shelf" ceremonies which have been used many times over with only the names being changed. It takes time, therefore, to get to know people and their wishes and additional time may be needed where a multi-faith approach is needed
  • as much time and work goes into a small ceremony as it does for a ceremony with large numbers of guests
  • I don´t have a parish and as I get requests throughout the whole of Spain and other European countries, then for most of my ceremonies I have to travel major distances which incur travel costs and significant time. if your ceremony is outside my home area, fees will be clearly stated before you commit to a booking. It is important to know though that I am not a local minister, just round the corner, on a salary or stipend and do not have the support of an organised church
  • because of the vast geography that I cover, I usually do not get to meet with couples until the day and so most communication is by phone and e-mail. Any prior consultations are held only in my hometown of La Herradura. I do not do out calls as each would necessitate a minimum of 5 - 6 hours out of my day.
